Easy! First thing you must do is to become qualified to drive trucks. You will no doubt have a liking for a certain type of driving. You may have an inkling to see every corner of our country in which case you will aspire to become an over-the-road or long distance driver. You may wish to be in charge of one of those amazing silver gasoline tankers, in which case you will need to obtain a hazardous endorsement along with your license. Local trucking may fit in more with your family commitments, or you may wish to join the league of specialized drivers who earn upwards and over $70,000 per year, driving special equipment such as wide loads. There are many choices to be made, and once you have become a part of the ever-growing and exciting trucking industry you will be able to move around making many life choices. Trucking driving jobs are never described as easy, lay-back types of jobs. They can be hard work, and also challenging. One thing they have never been described as is boring.
